I bought this scale 8 months ago, and never used the wireless feature. Like another reviewer, I couldn't get it to turn on by tapping it or stepping on it, but managed to get it to work by putting my toe underneath, lifting it slightly, and letting it drop. It worked pretty well for about 7 months, then stopped working. Now the scale turns on, but after 1 second the display reads "E." Both my husband and I are relatively small people, so excessive weight was not the problem. I called the company, because the manual didn't cover this error code. They had no idea what the problem was, and wanted me to pay a $9.95 fee PLUS shipping to send it back to them, even though it's got a 2-year warranty! I think I'll return it to the seller instead.

at the time that we made this purchase we were looking for a scale which would measure our weights correctly. This scale had high reviews with consumer report and others,. the price we found here on Amazon was simply great. Now having used it for some time it is great. We couldn't be more pleased plus the fast turn around with the on-line order helped us. Now 20 plus pounds less and still going . Love the scale, Love the service Love Amazon!!!!

Just got mine from Costco today... software downloaded fine and looked great...im using vista
The actual scale has one button on the top that converts what the lcd displays(lbs. vs. kgs.)....
Tapping the corner of the scale turns it on...
The software lets you delete any recordings that you want....
Not sure what the previous reviewers were talking about...
What i don't like is the transmitter... it's not powerful enough to reach from my office(computer) to the bathroom (about 15 steps)...
uh.... so keep that in mind when you purchase this... have only had it for one day though so more issues may come up....

tHE LIFE SOURCE SCALE IS ACCURATE AND EASY TO USE. IT FAILURE IS WITH ITS SOFTWARE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.
1. An erronious reading got into the software with no way to erase it. Also the software image is not full screen, making it difficult to read and impossible to enlarge the print.
2. The customer service line is full of recorded messages that do not pertain to the problem or question the customer may have. Ihe recordings appear to be made by a bored 6th grader. When customer service is finally reached they know nothing about nothing.
This item is going back to the store.
I don't recommend this product.

Recently I purchased a LifeSource UC-324THW Wireless Scale from Amazon.com. The ordering process worked fine and the scale arrived within a week. However, it never worked right. The instructions say to 'tap' on the scale to get it to start up, and when the zeros display, to stand on the scale. I tapped, and even stood on all areas of the top of the scale, and it would not start up. I changed batteries and tried everything possible to get the scale to work, but all to no avail. I returned the scale for a refund. Checking further on the Internet, I read where others have had similar problems with this scale. Lastly, when working, it is supposed to wirelessly connect to your computer or other monitoring device. Even if I could get the scale to work, that would have been too much capability. I just wanted a scale to give my weight and possibly body fat index. I subsequently purchased a Tanita scale and it works fine.
