Fits well, is somewhat protective, but is "cheap" feeling and shows signs of wear quickly. Definitely ok for the price paid but not great.
good attempt but didn't hit the target

I oredered this to get a 'slim' case. What I got was a case as thick as other case and the front bezel will not stay clipped on. Returning for refund.
Horrible.

I purchased this from the Verizon store and felt compelled to warn those who use Amazon to buy this. The case is terrible. It's poorly made and extremely frustrating to put on. Like some other reviewers have said, this thing will rip apart your keys when you open it. In fact, the very first day I put it on and slid my Droid open, it nearly ripped my delete key off. I honestly didn't even use it for longer than a day before my frustrations caused me to get rid of it. I then went ahead and ordered a Seidio Innocase and haven't been happier. Don't get me wrong, the back of this cover will definitely protect you if you drop it, but it's not worth the hassle to get it. Go with the Innocase!
Dont buy

Reviewer: Steven S. Mcevilly,
Basically it's a protective cover, but it's faulty. When you put your Droid to your ear "without the cover on the face", the phone screen operates properly and the screen goes blank thus keeping your face from activating buttons. With the cover on, the phone doesn't sense the movement, or your face, and will not turn the screen off. With the protective cover on, while talking on my phone it would dial numbers, hang up, and do a variety of different things.... To rectify this, I had to cut a bunch of material off of where the ear piece is to make the cover wider around a sensor. Now the cover allows the phone to act the way it's supposed to, but it looks like I chopped the cover up. Doesn't look good at all.
Not worth the money at all.

I've had it for about a month (got the Droid the day after it came out, ordered this a few hours later). I have it 2 stars just because it does, to a certain extent, protect my Droid.
Cons:
- Needs to be taken off every time I want to put the phone in the Multimedia Dock (every night - I use it as an alarm clock).
- It's made of two pieces, one for the back of the phone and one for the front. The one for the front is just a little "frame" that clips around the front. It falls off ALL the time.
- The two times I have dropped the phone, the front "frame" part flew off - that's OK to protect from the initial impact, but you have to hope the phone doesn't bounce...
- There's no optical glass part over the camera/flash, so it's not really protected.
- The cutout for the side volume buttons is far too large - about half the height of the phone.
Pros:
- If the Droid is just in a belt holster, it adds some protection.
- The piece for the back of the phone is solid and has good cutouts for all of the buttons, phone, etc.
- The cutout for the USB port is large enough to use it with standard cables.
