It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Never gave it a thought about needing to adjust the watch band size. I found it easy and will do it again. Very nice watch.
Good Watch with band issue

This watch originally had a plastic or resin band that broke frequently, every few months, and the replacement band is stainless. It works fine except for the dim night light feature. The band does not appear to fit as well as it should and thus pops off. The band and watch have a poor fit where the pin inserts to secure the band and watch together. Other than that, it works very well.
Given all the posted complaints with the resin bands and pins failing on the stainless bands you have to wonder why Timex does not care to fix either issue. As much as I like the durability of the timepiece, that band problems make it hard to recommend. You should not have to buy a Rolex to get a watch that remains on your wrist.
Ironman...what do you expect

Reviewer: A. D. Oltmann,
This is a traditional Ironman watch. It has all the traditional Ironman functions, but with an updated look. I got this watch as a gift. I picked this watch because of the Ironman name and its look. I have not been disappointed with any aspect of this watch. It's classy enough to wear with a suit (which I do) or just everyday use.
Some reviewers have complained about the band or leaking. I have not experienced any of these problems; in fact, I have not had any problems with this watch. It's a great watch.
***UPDATE***
Almost six months later and it's still looking great. There are almost no scratches on the band and the face is still clean.
Another Ironman

This is about the 4th Timex Ironman that I have owned. Since they are pretty cheap I just buy a new one instead of changing the battery, replacing the band, etc.
The switches work pretty good and I use the stopwatch function all the time to time things. I also use the 2 time zone feature whenever I fly across time zones (Just press 1 button and hold to switch to other time zone).
The light is OK but could be better.
Do Not Buy this Item if you are Outlook 2007

I purchased this item for the ability to put appointments, etc. on the watch (Imports from Outlook) and not have to carry PDA, etc when riding my bike. Only after opening and working with the watch did I learn that it does not interface with the Outlook 2007 (out now for two years). That makes it basically a $9 Timex without functions. Contacted Timex and they said that they are working on a software update (after 2 years of 2007). If you are computer savvy and have upgraded your system do not buy this item. Now it is not returnable to Amazon because I opened the package and installed software - then finding out that 2007 does not work. Open package - not returnable. Your screwed.
